The Directorate of Education has established a network of 69 (65 functional & 04 non-functional) Workers Welfare Schools in various districts of Punjab, from Rahim Yar Khan in the South to Rawalpindi in the North. These Schools are situated in 20 different Districts and are providing free education to approximately 45,400 boys and girls from Primary to Higher Secondary levels. The Directorate of Education not only provides education free of cost to enrolled workers students but also provides free Uniform, Shoes, Stationery, Books and Transport. The Directorate of Education continues to expand its coverage by upgrading the existing schools to higher level of education and by establishing new schools. | |
